ENG 318: INTRODUCTION TO EDITING
This course gives students an introductory working knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style, the essential guide for writers, editors, and publishers. The course covers many aspects of what it means to be a copyeditor, including an overview of the editorial process and topics such as spelling, punctuation, grammar, style, usage, languages other than English, tables, and graphs, and more.
Cornerstone University is partnering with The PEN Institute, an online educational institute for Christian editors. ENG 318 students will need to purchase the curriculum from The PEN Institute. The curriculum includes 8 weeks of Nonfiction Editing 101 and 4 weeks of Proofreading 101.
