The PEN Institute offers online courses in three formats: Group Instruction, One-on-One Instruction, and Digital Curriculum (self-guided study). Webinars are also available.

Our online courses give you the opportunity to learn wherever you are and whenever is most convenient for you!
Whether you are just beginning your editing career or are looking for an advanced class to update your skills, we have courses for you. Courses are scheduled all throughout the year. Because our courses are online and extremely flexible, we have students from all across the world attend The PEN Institute.
Group Courses
Group Courses include the lesson material, optional homework, additional instructor handouts, an email group forum to learn from other students, and direct feedback from the instructor. Group Courses are scheduled throughout the year and administered via Groups.io.
Digital Curriculum
Digital Curriculum include the lesson material in PDF format for self-guided study. This option offers limited instructor feedback but no group interaction. Purchase and download the course material to learn anytime, anywhere.
One-on-One Instruction
This option includes the lesson material, homework assignments, additional instructor handouts, and one-on-one feedback from the instructor.
Digital Curriculum Bundles
Digital Curriculum Bundles are two or more curriculums purchased together for a savings of 10 percent.
Webinars
Webinars are downloadable videos and do not include instructor feedback. Students will be given access to the videos within 24 hours of purchase.
