At age twelve, Tim Pietz read through J. R. Tolkien’s The Return of the King in a single day. Concerned that he would run out of good books if he continued reading at this pace, Tim had no choice but to pursue a career in publishing.
Tim graduated from Taylor University summa cum laude with dual bachelor’s degrees in Professional Writing and Strategic Communication. Professional Writing’s focus on the publishing industry gave him a head start on his career, and Strategic Communication built a foundation for working with clients.
Since then, Tim has had the privilege of writing, editing, and/or marketing for Christian publishers such as Tyndale House, Salem Media, Wheaton Press, Mountain Brook Ink, and various authors (both Christian and general market). He is equally at home in fiction and nonfiction. One of his favorite projects was working on the Life Bible App’s Touchpoints feature, where he wrote and edited topical studies on mental health topics (abandonment, anxiety, depression, etc.). Tim is a Gold Member of the Christian PEN and his content editing is certified by the Christian Editor Connection. Visit Tim’s website at InkSwordEditing.com to learn more about him and his services.
In his free time, Tim enjoys walking nature trails, playing strategy games, and volunteering in youth ministry.
