This course will move past the basics of characterization and plot to look for ways to build on those foundations while avoiding common issues, including unlikeable protagonists, unsatisfying endings, and viewpoint slips.

Prerequisite: Substantive Editing for Fiction  Basic 1 and Basic or two years of fiction editing experience.
