Grammar Essentials Group Course

(3 customer reviews)

$400.00

As an editor, you want to help your client write the best possible manuscript—whether a book, article, blog post, or short inspirational piece. But let’s face it. Few people are grammar-philes and enjoy studying the parts of speech and other boring aspects of grammar. We might think we’ll just know the mistake when we see it. But this is simply not true. Grammar is like putting a jigsaw puzzle together. If we cannot put the right pieces together, the picture won’t make sense—and in our case, the communication. The Grammar Essentials course helps you see the big picture, much like that completed jigsaw puzzle.

The Grammar Essentials Course will examine the parts of speech and demonstrate how to use them in a variety of sentences that will help you personally and help you help your clients to produce works that are clearly written, communicate well, and mesmerize their readers.

This is a great refresher course for those feeling a little uneasy about grammar usage in the editing business. For me, it helped reinforce the “why ” of the way things are done. Martin is personable and great to work with as well.

It was definitely much more in depth than I was expecting, but that was a good thing! It was more challenging than I anticipated, but I learned so much more than I expected!

There was a lot of information in this course, and I learned a lot! Martin was a responsive and encouraging instructor. I am glad I took this as a group course (rather than digital curriculum) because I did need to have some things from the lessons clarified. There were a couple of mistakes in the materials, and some concepts didn’t have enough examples for me to fully understand. So it would have been more of a challenge to go through it without being able to ask questions or get feedback. But what I have learned has helped me in my work already, and I am sure to refer back to the lessons many times in the future.
