Grant Writing and Editing Fundamentals Digital Curriculum

Write or Edit a Winning Grant Using This Step-by-Step Guide

Grant writing is a specialized skill—one that is increasingly in demand. Yet it is a skill that can be learned, allowing you to provide a desperately needed service for nonprofit organizations and make a lucrative income at the same time.

A grant writer’s goal is to give the applicant the best chance at funding. That’s why grant writers and editors need to know how the grant process works, how a grant proposal is structured, and how to write each element in the application. Grant Writing and Editing Fundamentals guides you step-by-step through each of those elements. In eight lessons, you’ll learn:

• How the grant-making process works
• How to read a grant application
• How to write each of the seven components of a grant proposal
• How to create or gather grant application attachments
• How to submit a grant proposal

By the end of the course, you’ll have completed writing or editing a grant proposal that you can submit on behalf of a nonprofit organization or use as a writing sample in your portfolio.
